At TW Designers, we will assist you with any and all ways to ensure that your renovation plans are approved by all local and county building and health departments.  We realize that your renovations need to be completed in a timely manner.
We services is to meet the codes and to get all permits and won’t stop until they are.  For any food-service establishment, the permits are building, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical.

Here is a partial list of the services we provide when you hire us to perform your renovation plans:

One of our customers:  We experience that one of our customer bought an existing working restaurant.    After some non-construction improvement and ready to open the store and at the last day of the Final inspection the City Inspector find out that the City has no record for installation of the hood & by open up the ceiling tiles and the duct was installed with out the one hour fire shaft.      The hood & the duct has to be removed, submit new plan for the hood & duct design, submit the plan to the Health & to the Building for plan check & re-do duct system for the final installation.  This delay is very expansive for the owner.

Be sure to get all 4 permits at the same time prior to the installation:  We did work for many customers they some how got only the Building permit for the construction and at the last few days before the Final inspection and they found they do not have a Mechanical permit for the installation of the hood & duct system.    The delay for few weeks before opening and with the rent payment the cost for the hood & duct is more than double the original cost.

Our services are almost all from referrals.   Many customers want his or her contractor to do the job and usually are lower cost.   The contractor always tries to save money & our details usually are very simple but clear and help him to meet his budget.   The contractor who come to us usually know what the customer want for their restaurant.   This makes our job much easier.

One customer asked us to design a slowly rotating refrigerated counter top for display the sushi.    This is a good idea because the sushi counter will be always be full on the customer side and the chef will fill up the table when it rotate back to the kitchen side.
It is like sushi boat, which has to be refrigeration of 38 degree, at all time. This is a new requirement in California. For rotating sushi boat on water which have to be at 38 degree also at all time.

A customer wanted to have an automatic mechanical fry rice machine doing his work and to be display near the window of his the restaurant.

We have design & supply to a custom a round cooking pan look like an up side down Mexican sombrero hat.     His ideal is that the oil in the center of the pan for cooking and the cooked food is move up around the round edges area and keep the food warm while oil is slowly drip back to the center.

A customer bought a hot dog & deep fry business, which has a small hood.     He wants to keep the hot dog business open and wants to add oriental food to be sold.    He cannot afford to install a new hood system and does not want to close the store at all, or the customer will go away. We design & supply him a single cooker with hot water for hot dog, an open stove for fry pan, a burner of high heat wok cooking and a Chinese style BBQ oven all in a single unit. That unit can be installed in one day or less.

Naan oven: When we design & built our first Indian restaurant and the fresh bread from the naan oven taste very good and I ask the chef do you get burn to his arm because he have to stick the dough through the hole on the top and the dough will stick to inside of the oven wall. The wall inside the oven is fire clay where the bread is stick on. I was wondering if any high volume production Naan oven in the market.

4. YOUR DREAM FOOD ESTABLISHMENT

How do like to dine at the Forest Restaurant at the Disney Land Area, how about the Elephant Bar, or eat at the sidewalk table etc. One customer owned a Japanese Restaurant, which has a garden theme for the dining area. The whole restaurant is decorated with bamboos, rocks, large cranes, etc. What is your ideal place to dine or to own an ideal restaurant?   Please email to us your idea.
